Program Requirements

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL BROADWAY NORTH YOUTH THEATRE PARTICIPANTS:

BROADWAY NORTH EXPECTS A HIGHER STANDARD OF PRACTICE FROM THEIR STUDENTS IN ORDER TO PROPERLY PREPARE THEM FOR THEIR LIVE PERFORMANCES, TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE LEARNING THEIR MATERIAL IN A TIMELY AND PRODUCTIVE MANNER AND TO FOSTER GREATER SELF-RELIANCE AND PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY.

 THERE MAY BE HOMEWORK ASSIGNED TO BROADWAY NORTH PARTICIPANTS DURING THE COURSE OF EACH THEATRE SESSION. ASSIGNMENTS MAY INVOLVE RECORDING SINGING PARTS OR SONGS, VIDEOTAPING DANCES THAT HAVE BEEN TAUGHT OR PREPARING WRITTEN OR VIDEOTAPED ACTING ASSIGNMENTS.

THESE HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS ARE MANDITORY AND MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE APPROPRIATE INSTRUCTOR IN ORDER TO RECEIVE PERSONAL FEEDBACK, GUIDANCE AND ASSISTANCE WHEN NECESSARY.

A PARTICIPANT’S ASSIGNED MATERIAL MAY BE AFFECTED IF THEY FAIL TO DO THEIR HOMEWORK ON A CONSISTANT BASIS.

ALL BROADWAY NORTH YOUTH THEATRE STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO BEHAVE AND CONDUCT THEMSELVES IN A MANNER CONDUCIVE TO AN EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT: THIS INCLUDES RESPECT FOR THE PREMISES, THEIR INSTRUCTORS AND THEIR FELLOW CASTMATES.

ANY STUDENT DEEMED BY THEIR INSTRUCTORS AND THE ADMINISTRATION TO BE BEHAVING IN A MANNER THAT IS CONTRARY TO THIS GUIDELINE MAY BE DISMISSED FROM THE PROGRAM AND NO FEES WILL BE REFUNDED.​
